Description

Details

Built in East Boothbay, ME, BOWDOIN made nearly 30 voyages to the ice-jammed waters of the Arctic, under the command of Admiral Donald MacMillan. Still sailing, at the Maine Maritime Academy, this sturdy schooner is a registered National Historic Landmark. A skilled modeler will take great delight in building this plank on bulkhead kit. Each of the two deck dories is a miniature kit by itself.

Abou the Kit:

This plank-on-bulkhead kit is formerly from the Laughing Whale company and has been upgraded to BlueJacket's standards. Kit features laser-cut basswood and mahogany parts, scribed decking, basswood and mahogany sheet and strip woods, dowels for masts and spars, a supply of brass wire, rods, and tubing, fittings in cast Britannia metal and brass, rigging line, plans, planking booklet and instruction booklet in english.
