Beautiful King of Prussia wooden model ship kit.

This ship was named after it's owner, John Carter, who was known by his nickname "The King of Prussia". As a child, Carter enjoyed playing "war" with his brothers and always pretended he was Frededrick the Great, the King of Prussia. Carter became a famous smuggler, operating from Cornwall from 1777 to 1807.

Corel's wooden model kit features a plank-on-bulkhead construction with double planking. This gives the hull a strength, and allows for nicely shaped hull and planking finish. The kit includes all major structural parts from pre-cut wood. A parts tray holds all the wood, brass, and cast metal fittings. The kit also includes silk screened flags, sail cloth material, rigging line, and 10-sheets of plans for clear construction. Also includes a wooden display base.

The completed kit builds into a 1:42-scale model that measures just over 29" long and just under 25" high. It is recommended only for those with some ship modeling experience.
