Mantua Sergal Cutty Sark Model # 789

In 1885 the Cutty Sark sailed from Sydney Australia to London in 73 days. She hoisted 32,000 square feet of sail and had a top speed of 17 1/2 knots.

This wooden model ship kit will be 45 inches long and 26 inches tall when built. Scale is 1:78. She is a double plank-on-bulkhead kit, all parts are laser cut for a accurate fit and ease of assembly. The Bulkhead uses limewood for the inner and walnut for the outer planking.

Highly detailed gilded metal parts and ormenentation garces her bow and stern. She has Solid brass yard collars and supports around the ship. This kit has individual copper plates to cover the lower hull. All other fitings are made of copper, brass, cast metal and hardwoods. Comes with 8 sheets of plans and a instruction booklet.
