Mantua Panart Royal Caroline Model # Art750
The Royal Caroline was built in Bedford in 1749 to be used specifically as a yacht from the English Royal Family. He carried a long active service, sailing until 1805, only to be dismantled in 1820. A rare example of craft lines extremely streamlined, combines, a racing gear, wonderful decorations that despite their wealth, do not encroach on the elegance and lightness of the hull.
This is a Double plank on frame construction wooden model ship kit, there are building plans with good details. All wooden parts are laser cut. Five an six millimeter poplar keel and bulkheads ensure an exceptionally strong hull. Fittings are superb in a variety of pre-finished hardwoods, laser-etched wood, and decorations made from cast brass, using the lost wax method. Seven sheets of plans and very detailed instruction manual guide you to the completion of a model fit for a king.
Length 34″ / Height 24″ / Scale 1:47
