Lynx (Baltimore Clipper Schooner) - Mantua Panart wooden ship model kit MA745

An American letter-of-marque schooner, the Lynx was launched from the Baltimore dockyards in the early 19th century. Her commission was dated less than a month after the declaration war, on July 14th 1812. Built by Thomas Kemp to attack enemy merchant ships, she carried six 12-pounders and a crew of forty men.

The Panart wooden model ship kit features a double plank-on-bulkhead construction, building plans with general details in English, walnut and lime wood planking, wooden masts and spars, brass and walnut fittings, rigging cord and silk flag. All sheet ply sections are laser cut for accuracy.
