Founded in 2019 by Chris Watton, a renowned model ship kits designer with over 25 years of expertise, Vanguard Models kits delight enthusiasts because of its attention to detail, exceptionally high-quality design and craftsmanship. The Vanguard Modelsk its range has a system to allocate skill ratings for each Vanguard ship kit. Vanguard kits are marked under one of five levels: Novice, Amateur, Experienced, Advanced, and Master. This helps guide modelers at every level to select the right kit according to their ship modeling experience. There will always be modelers who will get what they want instead of what they’re capable of. Still, Vanguard tries to simplify things so that every hobbyist can enjoy the modeling journey and improve steadily by building beautiful Vanguard ships.
The Vanguard Models HM Armed Cutter Sherbourne 1763 is a 6-gun cutter of the British Royal Navy that sailed mostly on the English Channel. It’s one of the most popular wooden ship model kits for novices and beginners, even though it looks difficult to build. The kit has a double-planked hull in limewood & pear wood, a walnut dowel, and is accompanied by a full-color illustrated guide and 19 plan sheets! The Nisha – Brixham ‘Mumble Bee’ is also a good fit for beginners and more seasoned amateur modelers.
