HISTORY:
Fixed seat regatta rowing boat. The origins of this sports racing boat comes from the old anchovy, sardine and hake fishing boats used over the last century in the Basque and Santander Coasts. The first recorded information of regatta rowing boat races dates from 1719, between the Bizcayan villages of Bermeo and Mundaca, racing to win possession of the isle of Izaro. From then onwards it has become a popular sport in the whole of Cantabria, from Galicia to the south of France.
