Mantua USS Constitution Model # Art779
Perfect reproduction of the most famous American ship nicknamed Old Iron Sides. Was launched on Oct. 21, 1797 in Boston, with a very long launch, it started on September 20; to this day the Constitution is fine display in the same port of Boston.
This a plank on frame hull construction wooden model ship kit, building plans with general details, English instructions, lots wax brass castings walnut or lime planking, wooden masts and spars, brass and walnut fittings, etched brass details, rigging cord and silk flag. All sheet ply sections are laser cut for accuracy.
