Xebec Plans
AM1427 Amati Sciabecco (Xebec)
This famous vessel with lateen sails derived from the Xebec used by the Barbary pirates. Armed with 14 cannons and 6 swivel guns for action at close range, the Xebec was also used for coastal defence by Spanish Navy against Algerian pirates. Oars made traveling possible even in case of lull.
This plan set includes 4 large sheets of plans, plus a full-color, step-by-step construction booklet. All text is given in Italian, but a separate insert includes the english translated text.
These are the same plans and instructions that are included in Amati kit AM1427.
